In Whose Image Was Adam Made?

Over the years, startling evidence has been unearthed, challenging established notions of the origins of Earth and life on it, and suggests the existence of a superior race of beings who once inhabited our world.

The product of thirty years of intensive research, The 12th Planet is the first book in Zecharia Sitchin’s prophetic Earth Chronicles series—a revolutionary body of work that offers indisputable documentary proof of humanity’s extraterrestrial forefathers. Travelers from the stars, they arrived eons ago, and planted the genetic seed that would ultimately blossom into a remarkable species… called Man.

“This book suggests that we are not alone in the solar system. Yet it may enhance rather than diminish the faith in a universal Almighty for, if the Nefilim created Man on Earth, they may have only been fulfilling a vaster Master Plan”

Prologue

Mr. Sitchin’s words will appear in green highlighted paragraphs, as shown below. Quotation marks within these indicate Mr. Sitchin is quoting others.

May I remind the reader, that this attempt to expose Mr. Sitchin’s magnificent work, and to present his work as it is. No outside comments are required to interpreter his work, letting Mr. Sitchin interpret Mr. Sitchin.

However, a study of the same is a must, and if a disagreement arises, then please research the original sources to produce the correct understanding, and so avoid listening to unfounded speculations.

I am no scholar, but I am a member of Mankind in search for answers, and I believe Mr. Zecharia Sitchin has established a valuable opening for others to continue in the quest!

Following is an excerpt from the Prologue:

…This book suggests that we are not alone in the solar system. Yet it may enhance rather than diminish the faith in a universal Almighty for, if the Nefilim created Man on Earth, they may have only been fulfilling a vaster Master Plan.

— New York, February 1977

A better opening to Zecharia Sitchin’s work could not be found. In his own words he has described the essence of his work. It is in this spirit that his books ought to be read, for the universal Almighty, no matter how you call it is the same spirit in us, non physical, and yet its latency is much felt if we connect!

Please Note: Unquoted sentences are mine, either joining extracts from the book, or a comment in like manner as the above.

UPDATE 2013: These book excerpts have been massively updated and errors fixed for inclusion with this Web site, "Zecharia Sitchin Index". Most errors were due to translation between English and Spanish, and (for the most part), edited for correct grammar. I have replaced "El Chasqui’s" double quotation usage with a more readable highlighting of Mr. Sitchin’s words.

About "El Chasqui"; I have no idea who this individual is, his former Web site (from which these excerpts came) was located on Geocities which closed in the late 00’s. His name was never included in any of his posts on his site. However, that does not detract from his exceptional effort in providing an overview of each book in the Earth Chronicles series. We can only guess as to the choosing of his moniker – El Chasqui, a reference to a messenger in the Incan Empire. A network of Chasquis could deliver messages of vital importance throughout the Empire. In many respects, we are the next Chasqui in line, picking up the message of those who came before us and transmitting it to those who will come after.
